ellaOne how it works

ellaOne contains the active ingredient ulipristal acetate which works by changing the activity of the hormone progesterone which is necessary for ovulation . Taking ellaOne postpones ovulation and so preventing pregnancy.  ellaOne should be taken as soon as possible after having sex, and within a maximum of 5 days – 120 hours. As with all emergency contraception it is not effective in every case and if you believe you may be pregnant consult your doctor immediately.
